The Importance of Colon Cleansing and Detoxifying Your Body

Fred Morgan

Fred Morgan When was the last time you cleansed your colon? If you're like most people, you don't know the last time you actually detoxed your body, if you've ever done it at all. Unfortunately, most people don't understand the importance of cleansing and detoxifying the body, and it's costing them their good health. Similar to a car that needs to be regularly tuned up, your body is a complex system of organs that perform specific functions, and must be handled with care. Taking yourself through regular detoxifying processes can help preserve your life and ensure that your body functions at optimum levels.

Did you know most major diseases originate in the colon? Year after year of eating food without cleansing the colon can be harmful to your health. The best way to describe the function of the colon in your body is to think of it as your body's sewer system. It's where undigested food, impacted feces, parasites, and toxic waste-buildup accumulate. If these things aren't purged from your system, a myriad of health problems can result.

If you've ever had a septic tank in your home, you know the damage that can occur if that tank backs up. Every waste outlet in your home will potentially be affected by not keeping the septic tank flushed and cleaned on a regular basis. Similarly, if you don't keep your large intestine clean and free of as much impacted waste as possible, those toxins can seep into your bloodstream, eventually causing disease. Some effects of an unhealthy colon are:

  • Excessive gas and bloating
  • Constant fatigue
  • Low energy levels
  • Bad breath
  • Recurring headaches
  • Constipation
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Skin disorders
  • Food allergies
  • Frequent colds

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, the answer may be to rid your body of harmful toxins, parasites, and impacted waste in your colon through a systematic process that includes a change in diet, herbal detoxifiers, and supplementation.

A Step-by-Step Plan

1. First, you must cleanse your colon with specific herbs and high fiber foods such as whole grains, oatmeal, green leafy vegetables, and high-fiber fruits such as berries, and apples. Find a natural health food store or herbologist who can recommend specific products to help begin the cleansing process. Many of these products come in the form of capsules or certain teas. You can also call World Changers Church International's Body Sculpting Center for information about colon cleansing products.

2. As you go through your colon cleansing program, be sure to replenish the good bacteria in your intestine. Probiotic supplements will help balance and protect the delicate flora in your digestive system. This will help keep your immune system strong and healthy, as well as aid in the proper digestion of your food.

3. Change your eating habits to include more whole, raw, living foods, whole grains, fiber, and water, and less processed food, meat, and sugar.

4. Take a high-quality, plant-derived vitamin and mineral supplement. Taking the right nutrients assists your body in the natural detoxification process.

By detoxifying your body, starting with your colon, you will position yourself to experience divine health and a disease-free life. Following these simple steps will help you feel rejuvenated and energized!
