Summary

When God established His covenant of increase with Abraham, it included a covenant of favor. As a Believer, your job is to trust God and obey His commandments. Don't allow spiritual hindrances to block the flow of God's favor in your life.

  1. God made a covenant promise to increase you.
    1. If you're a stranger to your covenant, God is limited in what He can do in your life (Ephesians 2:11, 12).
    2. You have to trust God to be your defense and your shield (Psalms 115:9-14).
    3. God is ever mindful of His covenant (Psalms 111:5).
      1. Because you're in covenant with God, you're always on His mind.

  2. Be quick to believe God.
    1. God told Abraham to leave his country-from that which was framing his thinking (Genesis 12:1, 2).
    2. God wants us to have an increase mentality as opposed to a survival mentality.
      1. Fellowship with Believers who challenge you to think better.

  3. A covenant was made to give you an increase of favor.
    1. You have a blood-bought right to favor.
      1. Anticipate an increase of favor.
    2. When you acknowledge God's favor, Heaven is motivated to do more on your behalf.

  4. Because you're in covenant with God, you should increase.
    1. God is in the business of multiplication.
      1. When you refuse to increase, you deny God the opportunity to establish His covenant.
    2. God is the God of more than enough.
      1. God took the children of Israel from the land of not enough (Egypt); to the land of just enough (the wilderness); to the land of more than enough (Canaan).
        1. If God wasn't the God of more than enough, we couldn't come to Him to have our needs met.

  5. God blesses us for one objective-so we can be a blessing.
    1. To be a blessing means to:
      1. Become an instrument God can use to flow favor through you for someone else.
      2. Prevent misfortune in the lives of others.

  6. Every Believer must do their part of the covenant.
    1. Believers must keep God's commandments and statutes by obeying His Word.
      1. His commandments have been solidified into two:
        1. Love the Lord with all of your heart, soul, and strength.
        2. Love your neighbor as yourself.
    2. There is a connection between spiritual and physical blessings.
      1. God has blessed us with spiritual blessings.
      2. The spiritual world is the root of the physical world; in order to prosper in the physical, you must first prosper in the spiritual.
      3. You must deal with the issues of your heart; then you'll begin to experience the fullness of God's blessing.
